Text to video
Text to video is generative AI that creates short video clips from a written description, and often from a starting image too.
Also called AI video generator, text-to-video, image to video
In more detail
You describe the scene, movement and camera angle, and the model generates a clip, usually a few seconds to a minute long. Well-known examples include OpenAI’s Sora, Google’s Veo, Runway and Kling.
Results have improved fast, but keeping characters consistent across shots is still hard. Realistic AI video also raises deepfake concerns, so many tools add watermarks.
Example
“A golden retriever running along a beach at sunset, slow motion, low camera angle.”
