DALL·E
DALL·E is the name of OpenAI’s earlier image-generation models, which create images from text descriptions and were built into ChatGPT.

The first DALL·E was announced in 2021 and helped popularise AI image generation. Later versions were added to ChatGPT, so you could ask for an image in conversation. OpenAI has since moved to newer image models built into its GPT models.
The name combines the artist Salvador Dalí and the Pixar robot WALL·E.
