Context engineering
Context engineering is choosing what an AI model sees for each request, such as instructions, documents, memory and tool results, so it can answer well.
In more detail
A model only knows what is in its context window. Context engineering means choosing, ordering and trimming that material: the right documents from RAG, relevant memory, clear instructions and the results of tool calls.
It grew out of prompt engineering as people started building AI agents that handle long, multi-step tasks.
