AI memory
AI memory is a feature that lets an assistant remember details about you across conversations, such as your name, preferences or ongoing projects.
Also called chatbot memory, persistent memory
In more detail
Without memory, each chat starts fresh and the model only knows what fits in its context window. With memory turned on, the app saves useful facts and adds them to future conversations.
Most assistants let you view, edit or delete what they remember, or turn memory off. Check those settings if you discuss private topics.
Example
You mention once that you are vegetarian, and later recipe suggestions leave out meat without being asked.
