Presence penalty
Presence penalty is a setting that nudges an AI toward new words and topics by penalising any word that has already appeared, however many times.
In more detail
Unlike frequency penalty, which grows with each repeat, presence penalty applies once a word has been used at all. Higher values push the model to move on to fresh ideas.
It is useful for brainstorming lists where you want variety rather than near-duplicates.
