Multimodal AI
Multimodal AI can understand or create more than one type of content, such as text, images, audio and video, in the same conversation.
Also called multimodal model
In more detail
Early chatbots handled text only. Multimodal models can look at a photo, listen to speech, read a chart in a PDF and answer in text, voice or images.
This makes AI more natural to use: you can show a problem instead of describing it.
Example
Photographing a broken bike part and asking a chatbot what it is called and how to replace it.
