Custom GPT
A custom GPT is a version of ChatGPT set up for one purpose, with its own instructions, files and tools, that you can build without coding and share.
Also called GPTs, custom chatbot
In more detail
You give it a name, a system prompt that describes how it should behave, optional reference files and actions it can take. Others can then use it from the GPT store or a link.
Other assistants offer similar features, such as Gems in Gemini and Projects in Claude.
Example
A teacher builds a custom GPT that quizzes students on a textbook chapter without giving away the answers.
