In more detail
Recommendation systems learn from signals like what you watched, how long you watched it, what you skipped and what you bought. They are among the most widely used kinds of AI.
They are helpful for discovery, but they can also create “filter bubbles” that keep showing you more of the same.
Example
Netflix suggesting a series, Spotify building a weekly playlist, or an online shop showing “customers also bought”.
