Agentic AI
Agentic AI describes AI that can act with some independence, making decisions and taking several steps toward a goal without a prompt for each one.
Also called agentic workflow
In more detail
“Agentic” is a matter of degree. A chatbot that runs a single web search is slightly agentic; a system that plans a project, writes code, tests it and fixes errors on its own is highly agentic.
More independence means more usefulness, but also more need for limits, monitoring and guardrails. See AI agent.
