Regression
Regression is a machine learning task where the model predicts a number, such as a house price, tomorrow’s temperature or next month’s sales.

Where classification picks a category, regression estimates an amount. The model learns how inputs, like size and location, relate to the value being predicted.
Linear regression, drawing the best straight line through data points, is one of the oldest and simplest forms.
